Text adventure games first appeared in the 1970's and had their heyday in the 1980's.

The games do not involve graphics, as the name implies, but rely on the player's imagination to create interactive worlds of great depth.

They are typified by exploration and problem solving as the player navigates through numerous rooms and locations to finish the game. Sometimes game characters are encountered and the player must interact in a meaningful way using text commands.

Minoid4 communicates with you by virtue of internally generated text messages.

In adapting the genre to the mobile phone, the commands have mostly been replaced by one and two key presses to provide navigation and interaction. This leads to a game that is easy to learn and fulfilling to play.

Minoid4 is set on a mining asteroid where you are the pilot of the Star Fray fighter.

You need to locate a source of fuel and spares for your ship after a long and arduous battle. Your communications equipment is damaged and you cannot make contact with the mother ship; therefore your task is an urgent one.

Minoid4 has been mined out for a number of years and is now deserted. However, many of the original protection droids are still around so your task will not be easy.

The mine complex is large with over 80 chambers and it is up to you to locate the resources you require.

At the start of the game you are placed just outside your ship at the entrance to the mines.
